2026 Osun Guber: Ife Federal Constituency APC Stakeholders Declare Support For Oyebamiji
Ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election in Osun State, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), has continued his efforts to seek the support of the state APC members with a view to emerging as the party’s gubernatorial candidate and eventual winner of the election in question.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the guber hopeful, who met with leaders and members of the APC in Ife-South and Ife-North local governments during his consultation tour, lamented that Osun State has been receiving ‘financial rainfall’ of over 300 per cent of what it used to receive, but yet there has been nothing to show for the humongous allocation by the current administration in the state.
The statement noted that despite the defection of two senators in the state from PDP to APC and the rumours about Governor Adeleke’s imminent defection, Oyebamiji has remained unperturbed as Ife federal constituency APC leaders have pledged support and massive mobilization for the actualization of his gubernatorial ambition.
Oyebamiji said the affairs of the state has been practically run aground under the current administration as manifested in the poor funding of education, health, infrastructure and keys sectors in the state.
‘Today, Osun State is earning more than 300 percent of what it used to get and everyone can attest that what is on the ground does not commensurate with the massive earning’ he said.
The NIWA boss added that Osun State and its local governments have received humongous funds from all sources in the last 30 months and yet the state has not been able to recruit teachers and health workers to improve the wellbeing of the citizens.
He bemoaned the way the current administration has been running the affairs of the state in the face of abundant resources, assuring the people of the state that he will use his financial prowess and administrative acumen to perfectly administer the affairs of the state to improve people’s lives if given the opportunity to become the next governor.
Oyebamiji also promised that the resources of the state would be properly utilized for people-oriented and masses- focused programmes capable of uplifting the general welfare and well-being of the masses while promising to raise the bar of governance in the state across sectors if elected governor.
‘It is important for us to use whatever comes in as revenue both at the national and state to better the lives of our people. It is essential for us to use our resources judiciously so that our people can benefit from the dividends of democracy. That is my motivation for being in the governorship race’ Oyebamiji said.
He urged members of the party to mobilize people for the Continuous Voter Registration and collection of Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVC) as soon as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) begins the registration and PVC distribution.
Earlier, former member of Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Julius Ademola Ajibodu, former Commissioner for Education, Hon. Folorunso Oladoyin Bamisayemi and the Chairman of APC local government chairmen, Elder Rufus Awotidoye had in their separate speeches declared support for Oyebamiji while describing him as a man of integrity, dignity, humility and competence.
They also assured the people of the state of his capacity to take Osun to the Promised Land-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
