Moshood Aigoro Praises Kwankwaso’s Excellent Track Record, Receives Defectors Into NNPP In Ilorin

Alhaji Moshood Bola Aigoro, who is a popular politician in Kwara State, has praised Dr Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso’s good track of achievements while noting that being an altruistic person, he had for long admired, appreciated and respected the former governor for being a man of the people, and a good-hearted and benevolent politician.

He asserted that Dr Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso had an excellent track record as a senator and a governor in Kano State.

Alhaji Moshood Bola Aigoro added that he has remained committed to strengthening the NNPP fold in the State of Harmony because he is confident that Kwankwaso has the ability to change things for the better in the country.

He said this while receiving some PDP defectors into the party in Ilorin on Friday.

Alhaji Aigoro also emphasized the need for Nigerians to ensure that political parties are not allowed to control the government for more than four years while political office holders should also not be allowed to move from a political office to another without an interregnum.

‘Nigerians have an important role to play in ensuring good governance.  A political party should not be allowed to control the government for more than four years so that the citizens can have the opportunity to experience new things while the political party controlling the government will also want to do things right in order to retain the trust of the people.

It is also wrong for a sitting governor to say he or she is seeking to become a senator without an interregnum or a senator saying he wants to become the governor without an interregnum.

There are so many qualified people and it is wrong to say you are leaving one political office for another without taking a break, let others also contribute their quota to the development of the country’ he said.

Alhaji Aigoro also said there are no signs that the nation would experience good governance anytime soon because those who are in positions of authority are only ‘stealing money that they would in turn spend for the people to earn their support ahead of elections’.

The Kwara State NNPP gubernatorial aspirant also said he is not planning to withdraw from the 2025 governorship race while clarifying that there is nothing  like ‘zoning’ in the party.

Alhaji Moshood Aigoro poses for a group picture with leaders of the PDP defectors.

‘The PDP and APC may talk about zoning but NNPP has never produced a governor in this state ,therefore, we are only focusing our attention on ensuring that we win the next guber election in the state.

If there are other aspirants from Kwara North or any part of the state, we will sit down together to assess things and if Iam convinced that anyone among them is better than me, I will support him or her’ he submitted while advising Kwarans to avoid ‘overnight’ philanthropists who are only doing that to trick people into supporting them.

‘When you vote for them and they emerge as governor, senator or member of the House of Representatives, the first thing that they will do is to recoup the money they have invested, and you will have no moral right to complain if they fail to deliver dividends of democracy.

It is better to support and work for the emergence of people you know their antecedents and those who will be available, accessible and prioritize the well-being of the people’ he added.

Two among the PDP defectors; Afusat Ambali from Adewole Ward, Ilorin West local government, and Muhammad Ibrahim from Akanbi 4, Ilorin South local government told Team@orientactualmags.com that they took the decision to join NNPP because of Kwankwaso’s excellent track record as governor of Kano State and Aigoro’s philanthropic activities.

‘There is no difference between APC, ADC and PDP, it is the same set of people that have been controlling the three parties and what we have been having could be considered as government for the rich, we want government for the poor this time around’ Mr Muhammad added-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
