President Bola Tinubu has sent a message of congratulations to members of the women’s national football team, the Super Falcons for winning the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Falcons staged a dramatic comeback at Olympic Stadium, Rabat, Morocco, on Saturday night and eventually defeated the Morocco women’s national football team despite having home advantage.
The match ended 3-2.
The Saturday’s victory was unique as the Super Falcons also succeeded in securing their 10th continental crown.
President Tinubu has submitted that the ‘Nigerian spirit’ made the Super Falcons record victory.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the president, who reacted to the victory in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, described the team’s performance as a testament to the resilience and fighting spirit of Nigerians.
