National Honours List In Circulation Not From Us —FG
The Federal Government has submitted that the list of nominees for national honours that had gone viral on social media did not emanate from the ministry in charge of such an exercise.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned the said list which went viral during the weekend had featured President Muhammadu Buhari’s late Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, and 436 prominent Nigerians as national honour nominees.
Though the investiture is scheduled to hold at the State House , Abuja on 11 October, the Director Press, Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Julie Jacobs, said in a statement on Monday that it was though true that President Muhammadu Buhari will be conferring National Honours on deserving Nigerians and friends of Nigeria, the authentic list of nominees was however yet to be officially released.
‘The attention of the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs has been drawn to a purported list of nominees for National Honours being circulated by some online media organizations.
While it is true that President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, will be conferring National Honours on deserving Nigerians and friends of Nigeria on 11th October, 2022, the authentic list of nominees is yet to be released to the public. The Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs will publish the list at the appropriate time .
