I‘ve Never Gotten Involved In Electoral Fraud, I’ll Defeat President Tinubu As ADC Candidate-Amaechi
Former Minister of Transportation, and a one-time governor of Rivers State, Mr Rotimi Amaechi says he has never gotten involved in electoral fraud while asking anyone who has evidence that he had done this in the past to provide it in order to apologize.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Amaechi said this on Saturday during a conversation on X Spaces.
‘I challenge any politician, living or dead, to come forward and say I was part of rigging’ he said.
Promising to continue to stay away from electoral fraud, Amaechi also assured that he will strengthen the nation’s electoral system and fight electoral fraud if elected president in 2027.
‘I will never participate in any rigging whatsoever, and I will not do it. What I promise to do now, going forward, is to stop rigging.
I challenge any Nigerian to produce evidence that I participated in any election rigging, and I will apologize for that’ he said.
Amaechi also disclosed that he had in the past diplomatically rejected some roles to avoid involvement in such a thing.
‘I challenge any politician, living or dead, to come forward and say I was part of rigging.
In fact, all the appointments given to me by APC to join election planning committees, I have refused to participate.
There was no one I participated in. Why? Because I know what they discuss. I listen to them. I hear them. If I get the party nomination, I will reveal those things’ he added.
The former minister spoke with confidence and asserted that he will emerge victorious if he gets ADC nomination for the 2027 presidential election.
‘I know Tinubu very well. I know his strengths. I know his weaknesses.
And I know that if allowed to fly the flag of ADC, I will defeat Tinubu for sure’ he said.
That was not all, Amaechi also disclosed the role played by former Ekiti State governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi in the rebirth of ADC and the emergence of ‘opposition alliance’ against President Bola Tinubu.
‘Fayemi and I began the coalition discussion, and we subsequently agreed to broaden it so that it would involve more than just the two of us talking about starting a new party.
We must create a middle class, and put money in the pockets of Nigerians; insecurity will reduce’ he added-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
