Bandits Release Village Head’s Son After Collecting Solar Panel , Drugs, Foodstuffs As Ransom In FCT
Son of the Village Head of Tekpeshe community Gurdi ward , Abaji Area Council , Abuja, Ibrahim Sarki, who was abducted a few day ago, has regained freedom.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned he was released after the family got a solar panel, drugs and foodstuffs worth N436, 700 and took it to the bandits as ransom.
Bandits in the country had continued to enact funny and dramatic scenes.
It will be recalled that the bandits had on September 9, 2022 attacked Tekpeshe community and abducted a former councilor, Mohammed Ibrahim Tanko, along with 16 others including the village head’s son, Ibrahim Sarki.
The bandits later released the ex-councilor and 16 others and only the village head ’s son was left in captivity and they had demanded N8 million before releasing him.
The Waziri of Tekpeshe, Ibrahim Tanko, who reportedly confirmed that the kidnap victim had been released, added that he regained freedom on Tuesday night at 9:15 pm .
He found himself in the neighbouring Zago village in Niger state.
Tanko said after pleading several times with the bandits, the family was asked to purchase a solar panel, drugs and foodstuffs which was said to worth about N436,700 before the victim was released.
‘In fact, the entire members of the community had to gather money as some people had to sell their goats, motorcycles to raise the N500,000 to purchase the items they demanded before the village head’s son was released on Tuesday night’ he said- Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
