Omoworare Mourns Bisi Odewumi’s Passing, Calls Him Gentleman Par Excellence…Suspends Political Activities

Former Senator Babajide Omoworare on Friday mourned the death of Hon Bisi Odewumi noting that the rude shock from the sudden death of the prominent politician has dealt a devastating blow beyond words and tributes.

The former federal lawmaker in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com described Odewumi as a gentleman par excellence and a politician of note whose vacuum will be difficult to fill. 

‘Hon. Bisi Odewumi is a diligent politician whose love for his community and humanity remains top notch. While not questioning the supremacy of God, this is one death that has left me speechless and perturbed since the news broke. We have lost a genuine and dedicated progressive with contributions and impacts that remain indelible.

Without mincing words, you lived a life that cannot be encapsulated with words. My interactions with you and our political collaborations have been embedded in sincerity and they are goal-oriented for our collective good. You have not died but you will forever live on.

I extend my condolences to the immediate family of the departed, the extended family, friends, associates Asipa community, the entire Ife North, Ife land and the All Progressives Congress on this irreparable loss. May God console us all and grant us fortitude to wade through this trying time.

Rest well my brother and friend, your deeds and impact of your time remains our consolation. May God Almighty overlook your shortcomings and superintend over all you left behind.

Adieu’ he added.

The statement also noted that Omoworare, an APC gubernatorial aspirant, has directed his supporters to suspend political activities in commiseration with the Odewumi family.

‘As a way of showing respect for the departed soul, I hereby call on my political structures across the state to suspend campaigns and political activities during this mourning period.
