44-year-old Dr. Suhail Anjum was performing surgery at Tameside Hospital , Manchester, United Kingdom when he left the operating room to have sex with a nurse .
The incident happened in September 2023, and Anjum had said he needed to take a ‘comfort break’ and asked another colleague to monitor the patient halfway through the operation.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the patient was undergoing gall bladder removal surgery.
A health worker, who had gone to pick up equipment needed to prepare for the next procedure, had met Anjum and the nurse engaging in the ‘special’ game that requires no referee.
Anjum later returned to the operating room to complete his work after 8 minutes.
It was gathered that the doctor didn’t deny the accusations and evidence brought against him while noting however that his behavior was inexcusable, because he was going through a ‘stressful time’.
Anjum said he and his wife had been having issues since their daughter was born prematurely.
The Independent reported that the disciplinary hearing will continue on Friday and the panel will hear testimony on whether Anjum is fit to continue practicing medicine or not.
