2027 Presidential Election: Northern Politicians Should Wait Till 2031, I‘ll Lead Tinubu’s Re-election Campaign In The North-Gov Bago
Although the constitution guarantees every Nigerian the right to contest elections and anybody from any of the regions in the country can contest, those seeking to become the nation’s number one citizen from the north should however keep this in abeyance and only join the presidential race in 2031, Governor Umar Bago of Niger State, has submitted.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Governor Umar Bago, who said this during an interview with TVC, added that he would be willing to lead President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign in 2027.
‘When he (President) finishes his eight years, power will come to the North and northerners, who want to contest, can then contest’ he said.
The governor also emphasized the need for the presidency of the country to be done in rotation by the North and South on the basis of eight years.
‘For crying out loud, this man has just spent two years in office, and you want it to come back to the north. How?
When he (Tinubu) finishes his eight years, power will come to the north and northerners who want to contest can then contest.
I have made myself the DG of Tinubu’s campaign for 2027, and no going back on that. Our headquarters will be in Minna.
The president has the prerogative to appoint somebody, but Niger State is ready to lead from the north. These people you are talking about don’t control the youths. We control the youths, and the youths are with Asiwaju.
Don’t worry about what people say. As far as we are concerned in Niger State, Asiwaju 2027 is constant.
In Niger State, there is no dissenting voice. Nigeria coexists peacefully because we have agreed to a rotation; the north will do eight years, the south will do eight years’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
