APC Governors Urge Nigerians To Keep Faith With President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda At Meeting Held In Birnin Kebbi

Members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum said they have resolved to remain faithful to the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take Nigeria to greater heights.

The Progressive Governors have also pledged their unflinching support for the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The governors have also declared their  support  for all the critical priority projects the president is championing towards economic transformation, social inclusion and sustainable development from the sub national level upward.

These were contained in a communique issued at the end of the meeting held by members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum in Birnin Kebbi between October 16 and October 17, 2025.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Governor Nasir Idris’ Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that the communique was signed and later read out by Chairman of PGF, Governor Hope Uzodinma, who was flanked by other members of the forum.

The forum also called on all Nigerians to keep faith with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the president.

According to the communique, the PGF also appealed to Nigerians to support their governors in building a new era of national progress anchored on stability, justice and shared prosperity.

The forum further restated its unflinching support for the leadership of APC and pledged to sustain its contributions to the party’s institutional consolidation, internal democracy and policy coherence.

The PGF also reaffirmed its stance on a united, secure and a prosperous Nigeria.

It added that the governors are committed to strengthening policy coordination, building interstate collaboration and driving innovation across states.

According to the communique, the meeting provided a platform for reflection on the nation’s socioeconomic trajectory and a reassessment of the role of states in Nigeria’s transformation.

The PGF further reaffirmed its commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting the the meeting served as vital convergence for harmonizing state-level policies and reinforcing national development and strategies.

The meeting gave an opportunity to deepen the shared commitment of the Progressive Governors’ ideals founded on people-centred leadership, institutional integrity and intergovernmental cooperation.

The communique also noted that the forum formally welcomed Gov. Peter  Mbah of Enugu State into the progressive fold.

It applauded his courageous move to join the APC along with his entire team and structure, hence increasing the number of the APC governors to 24.

This development, the forum noted, has been recognized as both historic and transformative, further validating the national appeal and policy strength of the Renewed Hope Agenda being implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The forum warmly congratulated the new members and extended felicitations to the party, the Nigerian people and the president.

The forum said that the milestone further strengthened national unity and progressive leadership across the regions.

According to Uzodinma, the meeting also commended the new entrants for their statesmanlike resolve and assured them of whole integration into the forum’s governance and policy structure.

The forum also congratulated President Tinubu and the leadership of the APC for steering the party into a new era of inclusivity, ideological clarity and national consolidation.

The forum also undertook a comprehensive appraisal of the national, political, security and the socio-economic environment, reaffirming satisfaction with the robust robust understanding between all the tiers of government.

According to the communique, the governors, among others, noted the visible progress in fiscal reforms and the attendant tangible multiplier effects on the economy.

They also congratulated President Tinubu on the measurable successes being recorded in the economy and national security, among other glaring achievements of the president and the governors.

The forum, among others, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Federal Government’s efforts to shore up accountability.
