Why We Suspended Senator Gbenga Daniel From Party Indefinitely -Ogun APC
Ogun State APC on Thursday justified its decision to suspend Senator Gbenga Daniel from the party indefinitely insisting that due process was followed while adding that the former governor, who currently represents Ogun East in the senate, had engaged in anti-party activities three months ago and must be punished for working against his party.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the state APC Publicity Secretary, Mr Olufemi Nuberu, who  said this in a statement he issued on Thursday, added that the decision to suspend Daniel from the party was sequel to reports that he engaged in anti-party activities during the by-election held in Remo Federal Constituency in August.

‘The party’s decision on this matter stands. The window to appeal, as clearly laid out in our constitution, has lapsed. If the Daniel wailers want to wail, that’s their right; we can’t take that away from them. They can sustain their appeal on social media’ he said.
Recall that Ogun East APC bigwigs including retired General Olumuyiwa Okunowo , Dr Niyi Osoba, Otunba Korede Okusanya, Princess Ronke Oduneye, Aremo Babatunde Adesanya, Mrs Josephine Makanjuola, and Dr Bankole Osisanya had during the press conference they held at Daniel’s Asoludero residence in Sagamu GRA on Tuesday picked holes in the decision to suspend the senator.
They alleged that this has been done to ensure that Governor Dapo Abiodun has it easy getting Ogun East APC senate nomination in 2027 while noting that no suspension letter has been made available to the former governor apart from the press statement issued by the party to announce his suspension.
They also accused the state APC leaders of manipulation, noting that while Daniel is registered in Isote Ward 12, Sagamu, the suspension letter referred to him as a member of Ward 4.
Mr  Nuberu however submitted on Thursday that the press conference held by the APC leaders is ‘a sham’ noting that those who called themselves party leaders are actually coordinators of Daniel’s Gateway Front Foundation.
‘Those calling themselves APC leaders are actually his foundation coordinators—people who worked with him in the PDP. Not a single ward or local government chairman was on that list.
Senator Gbenga Daniel has always had difficulty subjecting himself to party rules. He was credibly accused of working against the party and ignored several summons. The due process was followed in his suspension, and the state chairman and secretary duly endorsed the letter to the national secretariat’ he said.
Senator Gbenga Daniel’s suspension, he added, was properly ratified by the State Working Committee after receiving reports from the local government and ward executives.
‘The party’s decision stands. The appeal window has closed. If Daniel’s supporters wish to continue wailing, they’re free to do so on social media’ he submitted-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
