Gov Abdulrazaq Condemns Church Attack In Eruku, Calls For Increased Security Presence

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State on Wednesday condemned the attack on a church in Eruku , Ekiti local government on Tuesday by criminal elements while calling for urgent increased security presence in the local government to immediately curtail the new wave of attacks in the area. 

‘The governor has sought immediate deployment of more security agents to support the existing security architecture in the area’ Governor Abdulrazaq’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye submitted in a statement he issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Wednesday.

‘He requested that this new measure be activated immediately. The governor wholly condemns the unconscionable attack, sympathizes and identifies with the people of Eruku and environs, especially families and the CAC directly impacted by the condemnable attack of Tuesday. 

The state government will continue to support the security agencies to tackle these challenges and ensure safety of lives and property across the state’ he added.

The governor, he noted, also commended President Bola Tinubu for the deployment of 900 additional troops to Kwara, saying this is expected to strengthen security in the state.

‘We have indeed seen appreciable calm in many areas previously affected. We sincerely thank the president for this.
