EFCC Arrests Pastor Who Abused Naira By Asking Church Members To Spray Money On Cow
Archbishop Angel Oyeghe, who is the founder of Faith Healing Ministry, Warri, Delta State, has been arrested for naira abuse, conspiracy, and money laundering.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an X.com post on Wednesday noted that officials of the anti-graft agency attached to the Benin Zonal Directorate arrested Angel on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
‘The self-acclaimed Archbishop, who is the founder of Faith Healing Ministry, Warri, Delta State, was arrested following a viral video where several individuals under her supervision were seen spraying naira notes on a live cow during a church programme’ the statement said.
What Angel has done according to the anti-graft agency, violates Section 21 of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007, which prohibits the mutilation and abuse of naira notes.
EFCC added that efforts are underway to apprehend other suspects involved in the incident while noting that Archbishop Oyeghe has already given ‘useful statements’ to investigators and will face charges after the conclusion of the investigation.
