Kwara PDP Hails Bisi Fakayode’s Emergence As Omo Ibile Igbomina President, Acknowledges Receipt Of His Resignation Letter

Kwara State PDP submitted on Thursday that it was pleased to announce the formal receipt and acceptance of the resignation letter made available to the party by the Kwara South Senatorial Chairman, Comrade Bisi Fakayode, ‘who has voluntarily stepped down from his position and withdrawn his membership of the party’.

Comrade Bisi Fakayode has according to Kwara State PDP left the party sequel to his recent emergence as president of Omo Ibile Igbomina, a non-political socio-cultural platform that brings together all Igbomina people home and abroad.

The party in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its state Publicity Secretary, Mr Olusegun Olusola Adewara confirmed receipt of the letter of resignation dated November 22, 2025, which was sent to the state Secretariat through the chairman of the party in Irepodun local government, Honourable Oluwole Emmanuel Adeyeye . 

‘The PDP is proud that one of our own has been found worthy of such a prestigious and culturally significant leadership position. His election is an evidence to his decades of service, integrity, and deep connection to his people and we congratulate him for his diligent services to his people which is now acknowledged beyond partisan clime .

While his departure will leave a big vacuum to be filled, our party celebrates his progress and wishes him success in his new assignment of advancing the unity, culture, and development of Igbomina land.

As a non-partisan apex cultural institution, the Egbe Omo Ibile Igbomina requires its president to maintain strict neutrality in political matters, and we commend Comrade Fakayode for the honourable, transparent, and principled manner in which he has chosen to comply with this requirement.

The party also uses this opportunity to reassure our teeming members in Kwara South and across the state that the PDP remains strong, stable, and united. Internal processes have begun to ensure seamless, inclusive, and democratic filling of the vacant position in accordance with the party’s constitution.
