Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, a multi-campus university, on Wednesday clarified and submitted that students at its Ilesha-Baruba campus are currently in Malete to participate in the upcoming 13th convocation ceremony.
Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, who is the Ag. Director, University Relations, in a statement she issued in Malete and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the decision to have the Ilesha-Baruba campus students moved to Malete ‘is a precautionary security measure as the year winds down’ while adding that this was also done preparatory to the mid-semester break.
‘The Management of Kwara State University, Malete, wishes to assure the public that the movement of staff and students at the Ilesha-Baruba Campus to the Malete campus is a precautionary security measure as the year winds down. It would be recalled that the extended management of KWASU was in Ilesha-Baruba over the weekend and everywhere was calm with the students and staff in high spirits.
The 13th Convocation Ceremony of the university commences on December 9, 2025, and runs through the week.
