Yes, I’m A ‘Dancing’ Governor But Osun People Are Enjoying Good Governance-Adeleke
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State submitted on Thursday that although he is a ‘dancing governor’, he has however continued to fulfil his campaign promises while adding that the people of the state have been enjoying good governance since his administration came into being.
He also said his administration has recorded outstanding accomplishments.
‘Our seriousness as a government is measured by our delivery of good governance and democratic dividends. Our governorship has delivered within three years what they failed to achieve in more than one decade’ the governor said.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the governor said this in Osogbo on Thursday during the signing ceremony of the bill that domesticates the Nigeria Startup act in the state which was held simultaneously with Osun Tech Hangout.
He asserted that Osun State is rapidly emerging as a hub for investment, innovation, and opportunity.
‘Our administration is not only contructing roads and bridges; we are delivering on Tech innovation and digital economy empowerment. We are opening up the electricity sector to investment and consumer satisfaction. Osun under our watch is becoming a leader in environmental sustainability, tech innovation and energy diversification.
Our government has prioritized digital applications in governance. We have streamlined business processes through the Osun Investment Portal, the 45-day C of O application initiative, and a harmonized and digitised annual tax billing system. We are expanding digital access through Imole free Wi-Fi.
I have approved the 20-hectare Osun Digital City for startups and digital enterprises. The goal is to develop innovation parks and digital hubs.
These improvements are making government operations faster and more responsive. Osun One, a one-stop shop for all government processes, is transforming service delivery. Security has been strengthened through the 293 AI-powered emergency center, Safe City Initiative, and Security Trust Fund’ he submitted.
His administration, he added, is preparing the next generation while ICT training and annual innovation challenges are according to him creating opportunities for entrepreneurship and job growth.
The governor has also directed the Ministry of Innovation, Science, Technology, and Digital Economy to deploy Imole EduPods, containerized solar CBT centers, across the state to prepare young people for examminations and promote digital inclusivity.
‘Iam also directing the Ministry to establish the Osun Tech Trust Fund to finance these initiatives and strengthen the startup ecosystem.
I am proud to announce that the Osun Tech Festival will be held between February 19 and 20, 2026, which will showcase our youth’s creativity, connect local innovators with global partners, and position Osun as a leading destination for technology and enterprise.
For the energy sector, we are expanding the energy mix to liberalize access to power. Our renewable energy drive is on course. We have finalized the legal framework for the energy sector. This will open the sector to private investment and also provide a platform for the regulation of the energy sector.
I have signed into law the Osun State Electricity Market bill. This is a landmark step towards subnational management and expansion of the power sector. The Ministry of Energy is directed to set up an implementation mechanism as quickly as possible.
A similar legal framework has been provided for the empowerment of Tech entrepreneurs within Osun State. Today, I signed into law the Nigerian Start up Act which domesticates the national law. Osun joins one or two other states that have domesticated the law. The implementation will commence in earnest.
In the recent past, I have also signed into law the bill for the regulation of the real estate sector in the state’ he added.
The governor also told Osun State people that his administration is proactive, innovative and forward thinking and addressing present challenges and the future needs of the next generation.
‘We provide leadership which does not divert funds meant for projects in our towns and cities. Even when we dance, we never deceive the people by making unfulfilled promises’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
