No Terrorist Group In My Domain, Ignore Media Reports-Oluwo Of Iwo

Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, who is the Oluwo of Iwoland, has urged members of the public to ignore media reports alleging the existence of a terrorist group in his domain, describing this as untrue and false.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the monarch, who reacted to the issue in a statement released by his palace on Monday, noted that enemies who are seeking to discredit the town’s security structure and religious harmony concocted the story.

Reacting to the reported invitation and the arrest of Sheik Dahood Imran Molaasan by the Department of State Services (DSS) on allegations of terrorism, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi said Iwo remains one of the most peaceful towns in the country.

He also submitted that those who are trying to attack the image and values of Iwo and its people will continue to fail because the town’s long-standing reputation for peace and safety remains intact.

The monarch described the media reports ‘as a deliberate move to weaken the security capacity of Iwo by undermining the Jaysu Security Network’, which according to him ‘plays a critical role in maintaining law and order’ in the town.

‘Individuals spreading non-existent information are social media terrorists and bandits’ he submitted while threatening to take a legal action against them.

He also came to the defence of Jama’atu Ta’awunil Muslimeen led by the Grand Mufty of Yorubaland, Sheik Dahood Imran Molaasan, describing the organization as ‘a reputable body contributing to national security and academic development’.

‘The organization operates over 40 schools, including a private College of Education and orphanage homes, and it has existed for more than two decades’ he said.

‘The media report of the existence of a terrorist group in Iwo is false and unfounded. Iwo remains the most peaceful town in the Southwest as a result of the efforts and activities of Jaysu Security Network.

In Iwo, Jaysu Security Network is the most trusted and active. They work directly with the Nigeria Police Force and assist in the arrest of hardened criminals.
