As Christians all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ today, Thursday, December 25, 2025, political bigwigs in Nigeria have released Christmas messages wherein they congratulated Christians in the country and wished them Merry Christmas.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State while felicitating Christians in the State of Harmony and across the world on the occasion of the Christmas celebration also thanked them for their continued support for his administration.

The governor in a statement issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye also urged the Christians and other citizens to be patriotic and vigilant.
‘I extend my warm felicitations to the Christian community in Kwara State on the Christmas festivities, praying that the season brings everyone joy, peace, and God’s abiding grace and guidance — the very essence of Jesus Christ who is the reason for the season.
I especially thank the Christian community for their consistent support, understanding, solidarity, and commitment to peaceful coexistence in our state.
On this holiday and always, I call for continued harmony, brotherhood, and shared commitment to a safer and more prosperous Kwara State and Nigeria.
And in the light of our current challenges, I request that we remain vigilant, patriotic, and supportive of government’s efforts as security forces work round the clock to sustain public safety in every part of the state.
I wish everyone Merry Christmas and a more fulfilling New Year ahead’ he said.
Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, who is a member of the Board of Trustees of TETFund, has also wished Christian faithful across Kwara South Senatorial District Merry Christmas.
In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his media office, Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi described Christmas as a sacred season of love, compassion, unity, and hope while urging Christians to reflect on the values of humility, sacrifice, and service to humanity which the birth of Christ represents.

He commended the people of Kwara South for their continued support for the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration at the federal level and the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration at the state level urging them to continue to live in peace and support progressive initiatives.
The TETFUND board member also pledged his unrelenting commitment to youth empowerment, community development, and grassroots upliftment, assuring that the coming year will witness more life-changing interventions.
He prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon every family during this festive period and beyond.
Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, Ph.D, who is the Dan Amanan Fune Emirate and the President/CEO of Funab Group of Companies Ltd, has also called on Christians in Kwara State and across Nigeria to use the sacred occasion of Christmas to pray fervently for the country, its leaders, and for divine intervention in the nation’s security challenges.
In a statement issued in Abuja by his Director of Communications, Malam Abdulrahman Aliagan, and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com , Dr Ajia described the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ as a season rich in the virtues of love, sacrifice, peace, humility, and hope, stressing that these values are urgently needed in Nigeria at this critical time.
He urged the Christian faithful to dedicate the season to prayers for Nigeria and Nigerians, asking God Almighty to intervene positively in the affairs of the nation and to grant the country lasting peace and stability.
Christians, he noted, should also remember the nation’s leaders in their prayers, seeking divine guidance, wisdom, and courage to enable them to govern with fairness, compassion, and a sincere commitment to national unity and development.

Ajia specifically called for prayers for God’s deliverance of Nigeria from the yoke of insecurity, noting that peace and security remain fundamental to national growth, economic progress, and the overall wellbeing of citizens.
He further emphasized the need for peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and religious tolerance among Nigerians, regardless of faith or ethnic background while noting that the country’s strength lies in its unity in diversity and urging the citizens to use the Christmas season to promote love, kindness, and support for the less privileged.
The Dan Amanan of Fune Emirate expressed optimism that with collective prayers, renewed moral values, and shared goodwill, Nigeria would overcome its current challenges and move steadily towards a future of peace, stability, and prosperity.
He also wished Christians in Kwara State and across the country a joyful Christmas celebration and prayed that the season would bring renewed hope, strong faith, and abundant blessings to families nationwide.
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State in a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed has also urged Christian faithful in the State of the Living Spring to keep spreading God’s love throughout this festive period noting that the birth of Jesus signifies the expression of God’s love.

The governor also noted that Christmas reminds us the importance of gratitude to God while urging all residents to remember the less privileged in the state.
‘This season calls us to reflect on the blessings we have received and to share kindness with those around us. It is a time when families gather, communities rejoice, and hope is rekindled. I encourage us all to embrace the spirit of giving, compassion, and unity that Christmas represents.
In the past year, we have faced challenges and celebrated victories together. Through it all, the resilience and faith of the people of Osun have continued to inspire me.
Christmas also reminds us of the importance of gratitude. I thank God for the gift of life and for the privilege of leading this great state. I thank our people for their patience, their prayers, and their commitment to building a brighter future. Together, we are laying the foundation for prosperity and peace.
As we rejoice this season, let us not forget the less privileged among us. I urge everyone to extend a hand of love and generosity to neighbors, friends, and strangers alike. In doing so, we strengthen the bonds of unity and ensure that the joy of Christmas reaches every corner of Osun.
My prayer for every family this Christmas is peace, joy, and abundant blessings. May the light of Christ guide our steps, may love dwell richly in our homes, may the coming year bring prosperity to all.
