Kwara Govt Urges Caution, Vigilance Ahead Of New Year Crossover Events
Kwara State Government has urged residents of the state to exercise caution, avoid non-essential movements or large gatherings that may be targeted by kidnappers as they get prepared to attend New Year crossover events tonight and celebrate the New Year tomorrow, Thursday, January 1, 2026.Â
Hon Bolanle Olukoju, who is the state Commissioner for Communications, in a statement she issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Wednesday noted that this had become necessary following intelligence reports that some bad faith actors plan to hit government infrastructures or other soft targets to avenge the recent losses they had suffered.Â
‘Citizens are advised to be vigilant, especially during the cross over services and the New Year holiday, while security forces will maintain their efforts to protect lives and property.
Prompt report of unusual movements of persons on a convoy of motorcycles is encouraged’ the statement added-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
