Babatunde Oralusi Urges Continued Support For APC At Year-End Party In Ile-Ife…Alex Duduyemi, Adeleke Adewoyin, UNILAG Top Official Among Attendees
Founder and Chairman of the Nigerian Capital Development Fund (NCDF Group), Mr Hareter Babatunde Oralusi has urged support for APC ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election in Osun State and the 2027 General Election while submitting that party leaders and stakeholders in the State of the Living Spring are committed to working together in the public interest.
Giving his speech during the year-end party held at his family house in Ajamopo area of Ile-Ife, Osun State on Saturday which had as its theme ‘A refresh vision for unity, service and progress’, Mr Babatunde Oralusi noted that he organized the event to create a platform to interact with his ‘biological family’ and ‘political family’ while submitting that ‘we are one family in our political party’.
The former Osun State APC gubernatorial aspirant noted that he has over the years built positive relationship with the people not on the basis of ‘governorship aspiration’ hence, it should continue to flourish.
He also talked about factors that motivated him to venture into politics noting that politics is about development and commitment to creating a good and secure future for the younger generation.
He specially thanked Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi, party leaders and stakeholders for their support.
Mr Oralusi, who noted that he is proud to be an indigene of Ile-Ife, added that in his conversations with people in high places, he has consistently talked about addressing ‘Ife problems’.
Earlier, Chairman of the Planning Committee, Sooko Afolabi Omidiora commended Mr Babatunde Oralusi for organizing the event while submitting that APC will continue to grow in strength.
Dignitaries at the event include the Aro of the Source and Asiwaju of Ile-Ife, Chief Oyekunle Alex-Duduyemi, Dean of Faculty of Law, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Abiola Sanni, who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, former Minister of State for Water Resources, Chief Bashir Ishola Awoterebo, former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Sooko Adeleke Adewoyin, APC House of Representative aspirants; Hon Marcus Adedini and Hon Benjamin Adereti, Chief Sobaloju Olawale Adifala, Sooko Wanikin, Abiola Olayiwola, and Chief Dokun Falaju.
Chief Alex Duduyemi, a nonagenarian, was a cynosure of all eyes at the event.
Hon Babatunde Oralusi disclosed in his speech that he would have had the honour of having two distinguished Nigerians, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun and the Aro of the Source, who are nonagenarians, at his year-end party as the Olu-Omo of Inisa was ready to make changes to his travel plans and fly to Ibadan from Abuja but he however said this was not necessary.
The veteran politician, he added, was still kind enough to send a delegation to represent him.
There was a lot to eat and drink at the event and three popular musicians; Riliwan Ayinde, who is popularly called K1 Junior, Olu Mighty & New Young Star Band and Arike Ade & Adamo Band were on the bandstands to entertain guests.
