Woro: Gov Abdulrazaq Gets Set To ‘Activate’ Aid Distribution, Sets Up 7-Member Committee
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has announced the constitution of a seven-person committee to interface with Woro community in respect of the provision of humanitarian aid for the people of the town.
Recall that the governor had during his sympathy visit to the town on Wednesday directed the state emergency management agency to mobilize support for victims of Tuesday night terrorist attack.
In a statement he issued in Ilorin on Friday and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com , the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye noted that the committee will be headed by a former state lawmaker, His Royal Highness, Hon. Ahmed Ibn Muhammad, the Kiwozi of Kugiji, Kaiama Local Government.
‘Other members are the Vice Chairman of the Local Government, Aisha Abubakar Sadiq; Alhaji Abubakar Mora; Woro Village Head, Alhaji Umar Bio Saliu; and a representative each from the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP); and a representative from the Office of the Secretary to the State Government who should be a female.
