2026 Guber: Why Osun APC Members Are In Upbeat Mood, We’ll Show Gov Adeleke ‘Red Card’-Oyetola
Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola asserted on Sunday that APC members and supporters in Osun State have remained in upbeat mood ahead of the gubernatorial election scheduled to hold in the state on August 15, 2026, while adding that the party is also ready to show Governor Ademola Adeleke the red card.
Alhaji Oyetola, who is Governor Adeleke’s immediate predecessor, cited verifiable track records, unprecedented achievements and indelible imprints of the progressive governments in the state.
He commended the party members for working day and night reaching out to the youths, artisans, professionals and grassroots, especially the rural dwellers to ensure that the party earns victory in the upcoming governorship election.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Monday noted that Alhaji Oyetola, who said this while giving his speech during the annual Ileri-Oluwa special Ramadan Lecture that was held at his Iragbiji residence, also acknowledged the continued unity, peace and harmony among members of the party since 2022 while adding that no amount of political rhetorics, propaganda or self-aggrandizement would stop the party from returning to government.
According to him, the winning assurance is based on the party’s hard work, creditable performance, acceptability and popularity.
He also urged peace, unconditional love and unity while emphasizing the need for Muslims to stay away from things that can nullify their fast or make it become unacceptable .
Earlier, the Guest Lecturer, Sheikh Muhammad Jamiu Sanusi, preached strict adherence to Allah’s commandments, urging Muslims to be their brother’s keepers.
The Islamic cleric, who spoke on ‘Humanity in Leadership: Islamic Principles of Governance and Loyalty’, emphasized the need to attach importance to equity, fairness and justice while urging members of the public, particularly wealthy citizens to always use their God-given resources to advance the cause of humanity and propagate their faith.
The occasion was attended by who-is-who within the political space in the state and beyond.
