Kebbi Speaker Muhammad Zuru Dies At 56…Gov Idris Calls Him Dependable Partner, Trusted Ally
Speaker of Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon Muhammad Usman Zuru, is dead.
He died at a hospital in Egypt on Monday night .
The late Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru, who was born on April 5, 1970, is survived by his wife and 5 children.
The state governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, the Kauran Gwandu, has offered his condolences noting that he received with profound shock, deep sorrow, and a heavy heart the painful news of the passing of Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru (Lifiddan Zuru) while describing the Speaker’s death as a tragic and monumental loss to Kebbi State and the entire nation at large.
Speaker Zuru’s death was officially confirmed by the Clerk of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Suleiman Shamaki on Tuesday.
Governor Idris in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki said he was devastated by the loss of a trusted ally, a committed lawmaker, and an outstanding leader whose devotion to duty, humility, wisdom, and dedication to the service of Kebbi State distinguished him as a true patriot.
He described the late Speaker as a pillar of legislative stability and democratic governance, as well as a dependable partner in the collective effort to advance the development of Kebbi State.
Governor Idris said the death of Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru has created a painful vacuum in the leadership of the state, noting that the late Speaker’s calm disposition, maturity in handling state affairs, and unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of Kebbi will remain indelible in the hearts of the people.
He also described the late Speaker as a man of honour, integrity, and uncommon loyalty who served the state with distinction and left behind a legacy of selfless public service.
The governor added that Kebbi State has lost one of its finest sons at a time when his experience, counsel, and statesmanship are most needed.
He lamented that the loss is not only personal to the government and people of Kebbi State, but also a painful blow to the State House of Assembly, the political class, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
