Guber Ambition ‘Under Discussion’ As Senator Sharafadeen Ali Visits President Tinubu In Lagos
Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Ali, who represents Oyo South in the senate, visited President Bola Tinubu in Lagos on Monday evening and some political pundits have said it has to do with the federal lawmaker’s gubernatorial ambition.
Recall that Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Ali, a High Chief in Ibadanland, who is one of the leading Oyo State APC gubernatorial aspirants, was among those who were made to become beaded crown-wearing Obas at an event held in Ibadan, on April 3, 2026.

Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Ali however stayed away from the event while he was made to become a beaded crown-wearing oba in absentia.
Once a chief accepts the crown, he will be required to abdicate or stopped from seeking a political office as he cannot serve as a traditional ruler and still get recognized as a political leader.
