2027 Kwara Guber: Bashir Bolarinwa Revs Up Gubernatorial Ambition With Submission Of Letter Of Intent At APC Secretariat
One of the leading Kwara State APC governorship aspirants, Hon Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa on Thursday visited the state APC secretariat in Ilorin to have a face-to-face meeting with members of the State Working Committee of the party and submit his ‘Letter of Intent’.
He cited commitment to public service and the advancement of Kwara State as motivation factor.
Hon Bolarinwa had at different times served as councilor, local government chairman, a member of the House of Representatives in Lagos State and also served as Chairman of Kwara State APC and lately, Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
His years in public office, he noted, have reflected a longstanding commitment to service, party discipline, unity and the development of the people while adding that collective interest has been made to dwarf personal ambition. The former federal lawmaker also asserted that he has over the years shown commitment to bridging divides, empowering communities and promoting sustainable development.
The guber hopeful, who described himself as a unifying force, added that his good qualities, experience and good track record have gotten him recognized as a uniquely qualified candidate.
Promising to ensure continuity of policies and asserting that he knows the history of the party in the state, the guber hopeful noted that with the support, prayers and guidance of stakeholders, the state APC will consolidate its achievements in the state and earn victory in the upcoming 2027 General Election.
Giving his speech, the state APC chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi , who noted that Hon Bashir Bolarinwa has the qualities that make a good candidate, added that some gubernatorial aspirants have visited the state APC secretariat before now and many will still come while the party must ensure a level playing field for all.
The state APC, he added, fought against ‘imposition of candidates’ through the ‘otoge movement’ in 2019 and had since then stood against such a thing.
Prince Fagbemi urged Hon Bashir Bolarinwa to ensure that he endears himself to the generality of the party while praying fervently for the guber aspirant that his political aspiration will become a reality
