6 APC Senate Aspirants Back Out Of 2027 Kano Central Senate Race, Declare Support For Shekerau
Mr Usman Bala, Mr Sha’aban Sharada, Mr Muhammad Zango, Mr Danyaro Yakasai, Mr Abbas Sani Abbas and Mr Shehu Isa Driver, who are APC senate aspirants, have announced their decision to withdraw from the 2027 Kano Central senate race while also declaring support for a co-aspirant, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau.
Mallam Shekarau served as governor of Kano State from 2003 to 2011, Minister of Education from 2014 to 2015 and also represented Kano Central in the senate between 2019 and 2023.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the senate aspirants announced the decision to back out of the race after attending a meeting in Abuja on Sunday which was convened by Governor Abba Yusuf.
The aspirants said they took the decision to withdraw from the race in the interest of unity and peace in Kano State while adding that it is part of a collective effort to strengthen political harmony and promote stability in the state ahead of the 2027 elections.
Governor Yusuf’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Mr Salisu Kosawa has also commented on this in a facebook post.
