Obanikoro Explains Decision To Postpone Kwara APC Guber Primary
Chairman of Kwara State APC Governorship Primary Election Committee, Musiliu Obanikoro, a former senator, on Thursday explained reasons why the committee took the decision to postpone the primary by one day. He cited logistic challenge.
‘We postponed the primary election due to logistic issues. We came in late and we needed to be fair to all and to be able to have an effective management of the primary election, we needed a full day to do that’ Obanikoro submitted at the state secretariat of the party in Ilorin after a closed-door meeting with the APC governorship aspirants.
He said the committee is ready and the primary election will hold across the state tomorrow (Friday).
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that 10 governorship aspirants; Alhaji Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki, Dr Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa; Prof. Wale Sulaiman; Engr Femi Sanni; Dr Tajudeen Alabi; Aisha Ahmad-Patigi; Mohammed Bio; Musiliat Yetunde Adebowale; Dr Muideen Salako; and Captain Ahmad Mahmoud attended the strategic meeting that was held on Thursday evening.
Obanikoro urged all the aspirants to see the victory of anyone among them as a collective victory for the success of the party.
‘You should see victory belonging to anyone among you as one belonging to all. Nobody should take victory of a member of his family as something against his personal interest, if it is true that the interest of the party is supreme.
It is a family meeting. I am a member of APC from Lagos and I am here to have a conversation with members of APC family. On this particular day, we met on the issue of governorship primary coming up tomorrow and we sat down to have a frank conversation with ourselves that we are all members of one family’ he added-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
