2027: Gbenga Hashim Wins Accord Party Presidential Nomination, Hailed As Bridge Builder

Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, a popular politician, Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has won the Accord Party presidential nomination.

He was nominated for president by the Accord Party after winning the presidential primary election held by the party over the weekend.

Although, he was the sole contestant, Dr Gbenga Olawepo however received massive support from party members across the country who elected him by acclamation.

Results received from across the states as at the time of filing this report showed that Hashim garnered a total of 423,902 affirmative votes.

A breakdown of the votes indicated that Jigawa State recorded the highest figure with 198,200 votes, followed by Kano State with 124,101 votes. Nasarawa State delivered 47,309 votes, while it was 46,852 votes in Kebbi State.

Other results showed that he had 3,348 votes in Kwara State and  4,548 votes in Lagos State.

Party officials have described the primary election as peaceful and transparent while adding that it reflected the confidence party members have in Olawepo-Hashim’s leadership and vision for the country.

Speaking after the exercise, supporters hailed the outcome as a strong signal of the party’s readiness to mobilize nationwide ahead of the 2027 general election, expressing optimism that the Accord Party will offer Nigerians a credible alternative.
