Ijebu-jesa Stage Collapse: Rep Bamidele Salam Posts Picture To Show Gov Adeleke Is ‘100 % Fine’…No Cause For Alarm-Olawale Rasheed
A stage collapsed was the low point of the event held at the roundabout of Ijebu-jesa town in Oriade local government, Osun State on Wednesday during which 10,000 Imole canvassers were inaugurated, the sudden structural failure and the falling of the elevated platform naturally left the attendees frightened and made them fear for the wellbeing of Governor Ademola Adeleke and other Accord Party bigwigs.
Shortly after the video of the stage collapse went viral, some social media users in the state had alleged that Governor Ademola Adeleke was critically injured, rushed to the hospital for medical attention and may be taken abroad for better care.
Rep Bamidele Salam, who represents Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo federal constituency however made a picture taken with Governor Adeleke after the event available on social media.
The Facebook post was apparently meant to allay fears and address anxiety regarding the wellbeing of the governor and prevent speculations.
‘With His Excellency Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, after a very successful rally in Oriade Local Government of Osun State where Pelumi Olajengbesi launched a massive campaign in support of the governor’ he wrote.
Governor Adeleke’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed has also commented on the stage collapse incident asserting that his boss is hale and hearty.

‘On the minor incident of stage collapse, the truth is that there were a few hiccups at the beginning. It was fixed and the programme proceeded with a huge crowd of voters and canvassers. All key leaders spoke and Mr Governor rounded it up with the official inauguration of the canvassers. The videos are all over social media.
Our hale and hearty governor addressed the crowd and sang and danced with thousands of canvassers. Details of speeches were contained in a statement we issued. The Osun APC cannot deny what the public can see, watch and read on their mobile phones.
On the spiritual dimension of today’s event, that such a mammoth crowd can grace such an event in the home constituency of its campaign Director General and its sitting Senator confirmed the political death of APC in Ijeshaland and Osun State as a whole’ he said.
In the meanwhile, Adeleke’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed had also in separate statement made available to Team@orentactualmags.com noted that the governor has praised the massive outpouring of support for his re- election by the people of Ijesa North Federal Constituency, saying the state APC has become highly unpopular among Osun State people.
The statement noted that the governor said this during the inauguration of 10,000 Imole canvassers by Ijesa North Accord Party reps candidate, Hon. Pelumi Olajengbesi in Ijebu-Ijesa.
The governor said the massive presence of Ijesa people at the rally proved that Accord Party has become stronger despite the defection of some federal lawmakers.
Commending the Ijesa people for keeping faith with his administration and the Accord Party, the governor applauded Hon Olajengbesi for pulling a strong show under party leaders from the zone, calling him a David destined to defeat all the Goliaths in the opposition party.
The governor, who noted that APC is scared of the overwhelming strength of Accord Party across the state and is daily becoming desperate due to its rejection by the people, submitted that no amount of violence can change the love of the people for Accord Party while urging the people of the state to come out and vote massively on the Election Day.
He said : ‘Let me commend the good people of Ijesaland, my own people, for coming out massively today to show our enemies that they are fully with us.
This massive presence proves that Accord Party has become stronger despite the defection of some federal lawmakers.
I want to commend Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi for pulling a strong show under Accord leaders from Ijesaland. He is the David of this generation destined to defeat all Goliaths in the opposition party.
No amount of violence can change the love of the people for Accord Party, let us come out on the Election Day to vote massively. Our vote is our voice’.
In his address, Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi, who is the spokesperson for the Imole Campaign Council and Ijesa North Accord Party reps candidate, noted that the event was put together not only to inaugurate the 10,000 canvassers but to also show the full love and support of Ijesa people for Governor Ademola Adeleke.
He added that the people of Ijesa North Federal Constituency are aware that his own victory and Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election is the only way to liberate Ijesa North from darkness and from the hand of its oppressor.
He said, ‘I want to thank you, Your Excellency for honouring us with your presence. This event is put together to officially inaugurate the 10,000 canvassers we have assembled for your re-election but more importantly to show you that the people of Ijesaland love you dearly and are fully with you.
The people of Ijesa North are aware that my victory and your re-election as Governor of this state is the only way to liberate Ijesa North from darkness and from the hand of its oppressor and we are solidly behind you’.

Also speaking, Osun State PDP chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi declared that the votes Governor Adeleke will secure in Ijesaland in the forthcoming guber election will be more than that of Ede, his hometown.
‘I want to assure the governor that both Ijesha North and South are solidly behind him. I assure you, Mr Governor that your votes in Ijesa land will supersede that of Ede’ he declared.
The governor was accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; the DG of Imole Campaign Council, Akogun Lere Oyewumi, Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Adewale Egbedun, Chief of Staff, Govt House, Osogbo, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye; the governor’s sister, Yeyeluwa Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni and other Accord Party and PDP bigwigs -Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
