Senator Saliu Mustapha, Kwara PDP Congratulate Sheikh Muhammad Bashir On His Appointment As Chief Imam Of Ilorin

The Turaki of Ilorin Emirate, who also represents Kwara Central in the senate, Senator Saliu Mustapha has congratulated Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani on his appointment as the new Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate.

In a statement issued by his Media Assistant, Mr Nasif Sholagberu, the senator said the appointment reflects the Emirate’s longstanding tradition of excellence, scholarship, and Islamic leadership.

He described the new Chief Imam as a learned scholar with deep roots in Islamic scholarship and a strong legacy of service to the Muslim Ummah.

Senator Mustapha commended the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari for the peaceful and rigorous process that produced the new Chief Imam, adding that this has reinforced the respect Ilorin Emirate commands in religious and traditional leadership structures across the country.

While congratulating the new Chief Imam, Senator Mustapha also prayed that Allah (SWT) will make his reign successful, accept his service as an act of Ibadah, and make him a source of guidance and blessing to the Ilorin Emirate, the Muslim community, and humanity at large.

Isa Adamu Bawa’s leadership extended its heartfelt congratulations to Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani on his appointment as the new Chief Imam of Ilorin by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari while describing the appointment as a significant and historic development that reflects the Emir’s unwavering commitment to preserving the cherished Islamic traditions, unity, and peaceful coexistence for which the Ilorin Emirate is renowned.

PDP also commended the Emir of Ilorin for ensuring the continuity and stability of one of the Emirate’s most revered religious institutions.

While congratulating the new Chief Imam, the party also described him as a respected Islamic scholar whose life has been marked by knowledge, humility, piety, and service to the faith.

Kwara State PDP noted that Sheikh Bashir’s appointment comes at a time when society greatly needs spiritual guidance, moral leadership, and the promotion of peace and tolerance.

The party also expressed confidence that Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani will build on the remarkable legacies of his predecessors by strengthening religious harmony, promoting sound moral values, and fostering unity among the people.
