Oriire LG School Abductions: It’s ‘Quick Justice’ As 3 People Who Were Accused Of ‘Concealing Information’ Get Life Sentences  

Justice Salem Ibrahim of the Federal High Court, Abuja on Thursday awarded life sentences to Abdulrazak Umar, Shamsudin Adamu and one other person who were accused of being indirectly involved in the abduction of teachers and students at Community Grammar School, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and L.A. Primary School on May 15, 2026.

The aforementioned schools are located in Esiele and Yawota communities, Oriire Local Government, Oyo State and the abductees regained their freedom a few days ago.

 Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Justice Salem Ibrahim who noted that the life sentences will take effect from the day the convicts were arrested, added that they were awarded life sentences because they ‘concealed information’

The convicts had also confessed to being members of Darul Salam, an affiliate of Ansaru, a proscribed terrorist organization while Abdulrazak Umar and Shamsudin Adamu said they had a WhatsApp group  ‘The oneness of Allah is the Foundation of Peace’ through which they provided training, instructions, and encouraged members to engage in terrorism.

The defence counsel had urged the court to exercise leniency, arguing that the defendants are not only first-time offenders but had also taken ‘a guilty plea’.

The lawyer also noted that they had through this demonstrated remorse, adding that the offences for which they were convicted were not directly related to the kidnapping incidents.

The prosecution, however, opposed the plea for leniency, arguing that the convicts know the criminals and were aware of their activities and as law-abiding citizens, ought to have informed security agencies rather than concealing information and looking the other way-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
