Former Gov Kabiru Gaya, Former Senator Hanga Getting Set To Leave Our Party For APC ‘Extremely Painful’- NDC Spokesman
There are indications that former governor of Kano State, Alhaji Kabiru Gaya will be leaving the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for APC and the opposition party has described this as ‘extremely painful’.
Alhaji Gaya, who was the governor of Kano State from 1992 to 1993, had also represented Kano South in the senate for 12 years between1999 and 2023.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the former governor and former senator Rufai Hanga visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Monday and it has become clear that they will be leaving NDC for APC.
Gaya and Hanga were accompanied by Deputy Senate President, Senator Jibrin Barau.
They had earlier met with APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda.
The two former senators, who had sought to return to senate, felt upset after losing party nominations.
Hanga lost the Kano Central NDC Senate nomination, while Gaya also failed to secure Kano South NDC Senate nomination.
Theo Abu Agada, who is the Director of New Media and Strategic Communications of NDC, submitted in a social media post that the planned defection of the two former senators is ‘extremely painful’.
