Nentawe Describes APC As A ‘Trailer’, Accord Party A ‘Keke’,Says Osun Guber Election ‘ll Be Our Party’s Rehearsal For 2027 General Election

APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda has submitted that the party considers the upcoming governorship election in Osun State as a rehearsal for the 2027 General Election while disclosing that human and material resources will be deployed across the State of the Living Spring with governors from the Southwest, South-South and Southeast being tasked with overseeing each of the 3 senatorial districts in the state.

Governors from the Southwest, South-South and Southeast will be supported by National and state assembly members and local government chairmen in this regard, while governors from the North will also mobilize their local government chairmen, councilors and lawmakers for grassroots campaigns.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, who said this during the inauguration of Osun State APC Governorship Campaign Council in Abuja on Tuesday, also noted that ahead of the August 15 guber election, he considers his party as a trailer while the Accord Party is a ‘keke’.

‘It is like a trailer facing a keke. I do not know how the political party standing against us in Osun can withstand the strength of these people who are going there to mobilise and win the election next month.

We will do person-to-person campaigns. We will go from house to house. There is no tribe, no language, and no resident in Osun today—whether indigene or non-indigene—who does not have an APC member that can walk to his or her house, knock on the door, and persuade that person to support us.

This will be our practice ground. It will be our rehearsal for the political machine that we are preparing for 2027’ he said.

Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated campaign council, the governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, said members accepted the assignment with humility, describing public responsibility as a covenant demanding sacrifice, discipline and measurable results.

‘Our assignment is clear: to listen to the people of Osun State, speak to their hopes and aspirations, earn their confidence and convince them to vote for the APC and our governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, who is popularly called AMBO.

 We will not be distracted or intimidated by opposition blackmail, misinformation or manufactured outrage on social media or anywhere else. We will answer falsehood with facts. We will respond to insults with discipline, propaganda with performance and provocation with peace’ he said.

Osun State APC gubernatorial candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji thanked President Bola Tinubu and members of the National Working Committee of the party for their support ahead of the guber election noting that the state comprises three senatorial districts, nine federal constituencies, 26 state constituencies, 30 local governments, 332 political wards and 3,762 polling units which have all received the party’s message with uncommon excitement.

‘Together, we will win. Together, we will rescue Osun.
