Oyinlola To Gov Adeleke: Car Given To Me Was Bought With Osun Govt Money Not Yours

Oyinlola To Gov Adeleke: Car Given To Me Was Bought With Osun Govt Money Not Yours

Former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola on Thursday reacted to the comments made by Governor Ademola Adeleke during the special town hall organized by Arise Television which was called ‘2026 Governorship Election: The Battle for Osun State’.

It was held at Aurora Conference & Events Center, Osogbo on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Recall that the governor had during the event indirectly called Oyinlola an ungrateful person who took a decision to endorse the APC guber candidate,  Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji after he had attended to his complaints and made a new car available to him.

He had also alleged that there is an existential hatred for the Adeleke family by Oyinlola.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola has not only reacted to the comments made by the governor but also accused him of promoting half-truths.

‘That is far from the truth and it is a bad development that a governor will continue to tell lies’ he said.

In an interview with Channels Television on Thursday, Prince Oyinlola , a retired Brigadier General and a former Military Admnistrator of Lagos State, said Osun State House of Assembly had passed a bill  recommending certain benefits for former governors, including the replacement of their official vehicles every four years and there was nothing unusual about the car made available to him by the state government.

He also emphasized that the car was bought with Osun State government money.

‘It wasn’t Ademola that gave me vehicle. It was the Osun State Government, it is a law of the state enacted by the House of Assembly.

I’ve been out of Osun State government since the last 16 years. If you aggregate it, it means the state is still having to give up three vehicles.

There are other things, like my security being taken care of by the state government. The police should be paid for, the cook should be taken care of and the drivers. Those are the things included in that enactment’ Prince Oyinlola said-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
