2026 Osun Guber: Gov Adeleke Defies The Odds To Win Re-election…The 7.49 am Result Announcement That Ignited Jubilation
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Governor Ademola Adeleke as winner of the gubernatorial election held in Osun State on Saturday, August 15,2026.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the electoral umpire did this through the Returning Officer, Professor Joshua Ogunwole, who is the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti.
Governor Ademola Adeleke has defied the odds to win re-election and he has actually reset expectations in respect of what people had thought would happen especially the famed ‘federal might’.
Governor Adeleke had 511,067 votes while his main challenger, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji of the APC got 444,815 votes.
ADC candidate, Hon Najeem Salam got 17180, votes, Adeagbo Opowoye Yemisi had 2,945 votes, Adeyemi Olusanya 1,474 votes, Adeleke Adesoji, 111 votes. Adeleke Taofeeq of NNPP, 118 votes while the SDP candidate, Dr. Francis Olugbenga Ajala, who was officially recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) three days to the election, got 155 votes.
The 7.49 am declaration of Adeleke as winner of the 2026 guber election by Professor Joshua Ogunwole ignited jubilation across the state.
Residents and Accord Party supporters hit the streets of Osogbo and other parts of Osun State to jubilate.
