2027: Yobe APC Chairman Withdraws ‘Divorce Your Husband And Marry Me’ Comments
Yobe State APC Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Gadaka, who had gotten into spotlight after making comments on the upcoming 2027 general election which had made him get heavily criticized on social media, has withdrawn the controversial statements.
Recall that Gadaka had at a campaign rally in Nangere, Yobe State, on Thursday asked married women whose husbands are not in support of APC to divorce them saying he will pay their dowries and marry them.
‘If your husband won’t allow you to vote for APC, stand up to him and seek a divorce. If you leave the marriage, I will pay your dowry and marry you’ he said.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Gadaka has not only apologized but also withdrew the comments.
‘My statement was just a joke and does not in any way represent the ideals I stand for or intended to encourage divorce among married people.
I offer apologies for my statement, and I hereby withdraw it’ he submitted in a statement made available on Facebook by the state Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Mr Abdullahi Bego on Friday-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
