2027: Kwara APC Bigwig Nurudeen Adeyemi Urges Straight-Ticket Voting, Backs Speaker Danladi For Governor
Ahead of the 2027 general election, a prominent Kwara State APC chieftain, Chief Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, has strongly urged party members, supporters, and sympathizers to vote overwhelmingly for all the APC candidates to sustain the delivery of democratic dividends in the state.
Team@orientactualmags.com reports that Chief Adeyemi, a renowned aerospace engineer, said this on Wednesday during the grand luncheon he hosted at his Ilorin residence in honour of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
The luncheon followed Governor Abdulrazaq’s historic turbanning ceremony as Sardauna of Ilorin, which took place earlier in the day at the palace of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari. The prestigious event attracted top national and state political figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima and state governors.

Addressing a large gathering of supporters and associates drawn from the seven local governments in Kwara South senatorial district, Chief Adeyemi echoed the stance of the APC Governors’ Forum on the importance of straight-ticket voting while emphasizing the need for the electorate to avoid split-ticket voting in 2027 to protect the party’s progressive strides.
The APC bigwig also threw his weight behind the emergence of Speaker Yakubu Salihu Danladi as the party’s 2027 gubernatorial candidate, describing it as a victory for equity, fairness, and justice. According to Adeyemi, zoning the ‘governorship’ to Kwara North has established a healthy precedent for power rotation in the state noting that supporting Kwara North to produce the next governor effectively secures and guarantees a seamless transition to Kwara South in 2034.

Praising Governor Abdulrazaq as an exemplary leader, Chief Adeyemi urged the people of Kwara State to maintain their unwavering support for the current administration in the state and ensure that the party sweeps all elective positions in the upcoming polls.
Also speaking at the event, a former member of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulrahman Akanni, cautioned the electorate against falling for any ‘rainbow coalition’ of opposition parties emphasizing that President Bola Tinubu requires a solid block of APC lawmakers in the National Assembly to successfully drive his vision, policies, and transformation agendas for the country.
Alhaja Sherifah Abdulyekeen spoke in the same vein, urging party members to emulate Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi. She noted that although he has spent money, time, and resources since 2018 without ever being nominated by the party, he has remained loyal and committed.

In their separate speeches, Professor Bashir Olaitan and former Chairman of Isin local government, Hon. Tunde Fadipe, also emphasized the need for APC members in the state to ensure an all-round victory for the party in the upcoming general election-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
