Senator Kingibe To Wike: I’m Doing My Legislative Duty, You Can’t Silence Me
Senator Ireti Kingibe on Thursday reacted to Mr Nyesom Wike’s recent outbursts submitting that she cannot be bullied into silence.
The federal lawmaker also said no individual can determine whether she will retain her parliament seat next year or not.
Recall that Senator Ireti Kingibe had accused the FCT Administration of obtaining loans without the approval of the National Assembly, a claim Mr Nyesom Wike, who is the FCT minister, had however rejected.
Mr Wike said Senator Ireti Kingibe’s claim showed a lack of understanding of the process for obtaining government loans.
The minister had also on Tuesday said Senator Ireti Kingibe, who represents FCT in the senate, will lose her parliament seat next year.
‘She is an illiterate, with all due respect, and that is why she is not going back to the Senate. She has nothing to offer to the people of the FCT. There is no way you can go and take a loan without the approval of the National Assembly.
