2027 Ogun Guber: Yayi’s Aide Explains Name Change From ‘Sulaiman Ogunleye’ To ‘Solomon Adeola’, Says ‘No Hanky-Panky’

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, who is the Ogun State APC gubernatorial candidate, was once known as Sulaiman Ogunleye and the name change was strictly a religious transition, not a political one, it was also entirely free of any criminal undercurrents, his media aide, Mr Kayode Odunaro, has submitted.

 Recall that a former chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, Mr Wale Adedayo had recently alleged that Adeola, who is popularly called Yayi, was originally known as Sulaimon Ogunleye and he is an indigene of  Ekiti State not Ogun State.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Mr Kayode Odunaro, who made the clarification while talking to journalists on Sunday, said there was nothing unusual about swapping Sulaiman for Solomon while noting that his boss had done this before becoming a politician.

 ‘Many people at some point in life have had cause to change their names. Even the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Atiku Abubakar, once changed his name. His original name wasn’t Atiku Abubakar.

 So, that is not an issue, and the senator has changed his name since he was at The Guardian. He was Sulaimon Ogunleye, but changing his religion from Islam to Christianity made him change his name.

Solomon is the biblical name for Sulaimon. His father’s name is Ogunleye and Adeola.
