Osun Gov-elect Promises Responsible, Responsive Leadership As  Transition Committee Submits Report  In Osogbo

Osun Gov-elect Promises Responsible, Responsive Leadership As  Transition Committee Submits Report  In Osogbo

Osun state governor-elect, former senator Ademola Adeleke on  Thursday received report from his transition team in Osogbo, the state capital, and he has commended the transition committee members for showing commitment in every way to ‘salvage the ship of our state’.

While noting that they had  worked tirelessly to produce a detailed governance blueprint for  the  state, he has also  promised that ‘their  labour will not be in vain’.

Adeleke’s spokesman, Mallam Olawale Rasheed in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the Governor-elect  has promised  to  study  the report  critically and ensure full implementation of the recommendations once he takes office.

‘ I am at a glance impressed that your committee built on my five- point agenda. From workers’ welfare to infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, women, youth, security, information technology, the environment and state economy, we are set to deliver on our electoral promises.

Let me reassure the people of Osun state. that good governance is on the way. Responsible and responsive leadership is here. Transparency and accountability are knocking at the door. I will be a true people’s governor all the time’ he said.

Adeleke accused the Governor Gboyega Oyetola administration of  taking steps to  hinder the incoming administration from getting things done for the people.

‘To the outgoing government, I condemn the deliberate efforts to destabilize the state and its governance assets. It is sad that someone, who is entrusted with leadership; Governor Oyetola , has chosen the path of bobby trapping state structures to make Osun ungovernable.

From padding state payroll to multiple engagements outside due process, the collective assets and treasury of Osun state are being distorted, diverted and mortgaged for selfish political and private interests.

The oath of office for all leaders is to serve within the confine of the law and public interest. No leader takes oath to plunder the state. I make a vow to the people of Osun state that none of the ongoing illegalities will stand under my leadership. We are compiling the long list of infractions committed in the dying minutes of the APC government. Through appropriate channels and platforms, normalcy will be enforced within the ministries, agencies and parastatals’ he added.

Speaking earlier,  Chairman of the Transition Committee, Dr Muyiwa Oladimeji , who accused  Governor Gboyega Oyetola of following in the footsteps of former President Donald Trump of the   United States of America,  asserted  that Osun state people have voted Adeleke into power, and  no ‘Trump’ will stop the Governor-elect from taking office next month.

The report submitted by the committee was according to him a rigorous  elaboration of  the five-point agenda of the Governor-elect.

Chairman of the Special Technical Committee, Dr Kingsley Akinroye  said the committee had come up with what he called ‘a credible  roadmap to   fast-track  development of Osun state’.

Other members of the committee include   former Chief of Staff, Government House, Osogbo, Elder Peter Babalola,  former State PDP Chairman, Chief Sunday Bisi,  former South West PDP Secretary, Reverend Bunmi Jenyo,   former LG Affairs commissioner, Hon Kolapo Alimi , former Ede LG Chairman , Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye , Otunba Femi Carena and  Adekunle Adepoju-  Team@orientactualmags.com
