Abducted Ex-Osun MILAD’s Wife ,Jumoke Bamigboye, Regains Freedom In Ilorin
Mrs. Jumoke Bamigboye , who was abducted in the Oko-Olowo area of Ilorin on Saturday, has regained her freedom.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned Bamigboye, a judicial officer in Kwara state and a prominent member of the Rotary Club International, was kidnapped by some gunmen while returning from her farm on Saturday.
She had gone there to supervise Gari processing which was to be supplied to some among her customers.
The kidnappers, who later got in touch with her family , were said to have demanded for N100million as ransom which was later reduced to N50million on Monday evening.
Her husband, retired Colonel Theophilus Bamigboye , served as Military Administrator in Bauchi and Osun states .
The retired Colonel had confirmed the abduction on Monday night before her release.
‘She was returning from the farm on Saturday evening when she was ambushed by gunmen and taken away.
They later got in touch and demanded that ransom must be paid before her release’ he said.
‘She was set free and released last night, we thank God for her safety but not without payment of ransom’ Bamigboye later submitted on Tuesday.
He added that Jumoke had since been taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Spokesman for the Kwara state police command, Mr Ajayi Okasanmi , a Superintendent of Police, who confirmed that Jumoke had regained her freedom , added that 3 suspects had been arrested in connection with the incident.
