I’ll Avoid Going Abroad For Medical Care As President- Kwankwaso

NNPP presidential candidate, Alhaji  Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has said if elected as president next year , he will avoid  going abroad to seek medical care as the nation’s number one citizen.

Team@orientactualmags.com  learned the former Kano state governor said this during the People’s Town hall 2023  organized by Channels Television on Sunday night.

Alhaji  Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso

Interestingly, it was on the same Sunday night that President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Nigeria , he had left the country  for the United Kingdom on October 31 for medical care.

‘I will do everything under the sun not to go anywhere  for any medical care.

The failures we have today, the one we said we are going to correct, affects all sectors, including health and I am happy to inform you that our package starts with education as we did in Kano. We built five institutions under the ministry of health – two nursing schools, two midwifery schools and a health technology college.

We sent men and women abroad in addition to all the scholarships to study medicine. We improved all our general hospitals in Kano.

We have been to these hospitals, seen all the equipment  at foreign hospitals and there is no one that Nigeria cannot purchase. So, there is not much difference with what we have here at our hospitals’ Kwankwaso said on Sunday night.

The NNPP presidential candidate  added that if elected as president, he  would get the needed  manpower to  work with the equipment at Nigerian hospitals like we have had  Nigerians relocating to other countries to work as medical personnel.

‘You need to know someone to do internship as a medical doctor but we will remove all those bottlenecks’ he said.

Promising to prioritize education , more resources would also according to him  be committed to funding education at all levels.

Disclosing that he has a blueprint  that would tackle cases of  out-of-school children in the country , he added that he will also build more schools across the country and  tackle corruption headlong.

Kwankwaso ,who commented on   insinuations that he is too old to handle presidential duties of a country like Nigeria  that is currently  facing  numerous challenges, the former Defence minister  boasted  that he’s fit and stronger than his  co-contestants- Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
