70,000 Nigerians Choosing To ‘JAPA’ Not ‘Cause Of Worry’-Femi Adesina
Having Nigerians desiring to leave the country to seek greener pastures in other countries should not be considered as strange or unusual, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, has said.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned Adesina , who said this while appearing as a guest on Seun Okinbaloye’s Sunday Politics programme on Channels Television, added that the current administration had performed well since coming on board.
He argued that the Buhari administration was not to blame for the movement of talented young Nigerians to other countries which is referred to in the street parlance as ‘japa’.
‘If you think migrating regularly is good for you, all well and good. By all means, go. But you can’t now say because people are leaving then, it is a sign that something is fundamentally wrong’ he said.
While arguing that citizens had left Nigeria for other countries before the current administration, Adesina asserted that there are people who will however never do such.
‘You said 70,000 people left, what average is that out of over 200 million Nigerians?
There are Nigerians who will never leave this country no matter how things are. For every person that leaves, there are 100 people that want to stay’ he added-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
