Tinubu Speaks At Chatham House, Says ‘I Was Born In 1952’… ‘I Didn’t Adopt New Name’

APC  presidential candidate, Asiwaju  Bola Tinubu on Monday asserted that he is a member of the Tinubu family in Lagos and did not adopt a new name as insinuated in some quarters.

He added that  the records that documented his birth, and academic certificates  are consistent submitting that those spreading rumours about him  and seeking to prove such are only wasting their time and money.

Team@orientactualmags.com  learned Tinubu, a one-time governor of Lagos state, delivered a speech titled ‘Nigeria’s 2023 Elections: Security & Economic Development and Its Foreign Policy Imperatives’ at the Chatham House ,  London, the United Kingdom on Monday and he used the opportunity to make assertions and clarifications in respect of records that documented his birth  and academic  certificates .

He was accompanied by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon  Femi Gbajabiamila, Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Governor Abubakar Badaru; former  Governor Kayode Fayemi, APC National Woman Leader, Dr Betta Edu among others.

The APC presidential candidate said his detractors can request  for a DNA test to prove that he is actually  a member of the Tinubu family.

‘The question is inquisitive but at the time of birth, I was dated March 29, 1952.

I’ve had a very good exposure in life, my record is consistent in the school, in the university, they (critics) are now convinced that they wasted their money and their time. The record is there, the transcript is there showing March 1952’ he said.

‘I’m not claiming another father, I am Tinubu and Tinubu proper. If they want a DNA, they could as well request from us. One of them has even been accused of not being a Nigerian citizen, I didn’t touch that area.

Equally, it remains the same, Deloitte, Chicago State University where I graduated from has attested to that. Now, I can announce that I have received my original replacement degree certificate from them’ he said.

Tinubu also called himself an ‘outstanding’  presidential candidate  saying ‘Deloitte trained me as an accountant. Mobil Oil has attested to my record, outstanding record, I got to the pinnacle of my career in the private sector. Who among them can brag about that?

Tinubu later tweeted about  the speech he delivered at the Chatham House on Monday.

‘Today, I addressed the Chatham House think tank in London, outlining my clear vision on security, economy, and foreign policy ahead of next year’s elections.

Whilst restating Nigeria’s role in Africa, I reiterated my commitment to the values of democracy and called on all stakeholders to reject all forms of electoral violence and malpractice and allow only the will of the people to prevail. I also discussed my intention to build on established foundations, using technology and innovation to accelerate growth and development’ he wrote.

It was  also learned that one of the actions taken by  the APC presidential candidate  at the Chatham House on Monday had since been made a subject of discussion on social media.

‘Let me demonstrate here one of those philosophies and doctrines that I believe firmly in, it is team-ship, unbreakable team. To demonstrate that, I’ll assign it to my team’  Tinubu had submitted and he had gone ahead to  delegate some members of  his entourage  to respond to the questions posed to him by members of the audience.

The former Lagos State governor asked Governor Nasir El-Rufai  to speak on how he would address insecurity as president and told the Director of Strategic Communication of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Aleke, to respond to the question on oil theft.

Tinubu also delegated  Hon Wale Edun, who served as Commissioner for Finance under him in Lagos State, to respond to the question that had to do with how he would boost the economy if elected as president- Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
