Kwara state PDP has begun to take necessary steps towards ensuring that the party records victory in the upcoming 2023 General Election in the state.
Though the party had a few weeks ago, announced Hon Babatunde Mahmud Ajeigbe as Chairman of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council in the state and former Speaker Ahmad Ali as Chairman of the state campaign council, Prince Tunji Morounfoye, who is the state Publicity Secretary, noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Wednesday that the party had since come up with a unified campaign team that will be on the same page and work for the same goals.
Kwara state PDP also taunted the ruling APC about having former co-aspirants taking legal actions with regard to the primary elections held by the party a few months ago, while asserting that nothing of such had gotten recorded in the leading opposition party .
‘The Kwara state Peoples Democratic party (PDP) has today released Five hundred and forty seven (547) names that are to be inaugurated as members of the unified, state Presidential and Gubernatorial campaign council. These members were selected on the pedestal of equity, fairness and justice while the three Senatorial district (Central, North and South) have been fairly represented.
We at the PDP understand clearly that to achieve progress in Kwara state all Senatorial districts must be carried along in our quest for greatness. In addition to the above, our selection process took cognizance of gender, young people and our new members.
The percentages of each demographic group are as follows;
Female Members 25%,
Youth members 25%
New members 20%
Party faithful 30%
Our loyal members may wish to be reminded of our fair processes during the rancor -free party primary elections earlier in the year. Till date there are no court cases within the Kwara PDP relating to our party’s primary elections.
It is clear that our party’s leadership team, headed by our undisputed leader, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki (CON) has gained the complete confidence of our teeming party members and supporters.
We hereby heartily congratulate the meticulously selected members of the unified campaign Council and remind them of the onerous task ahead, which is to remove the stranglehold of the inept and incompetent All Progressives Congress (APC) regime from the necks of Kwarans in the coming general election .
The list of the unified PDP campaign council members, will be published in the National Pilot Newspaper, on Thursday, 08/12/2022
