Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has visited Dabai to formally present the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) to the Chief of Dabai Chiefdom, Alhaji Suleiman Sami.
This was done to drum up support for Nasir and other APC candidates in the state ahead of the 2023 general election.
Bagudu’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday noted that the governor was accompanied by Dr Nasir Idris, Director General of the state APC campaign Council, former governor Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana, Alhaji Sahabi Lolo, APC Zonal Vice Chairman, Kebbi North, local Government Chairmen of Zuru, Fakai,Sakaba and Danko Wasagu, as well as other APC bigwigs.
He noted that the APC leaders visited the palace of the Chief of Dabai Chiefdom, on Saturday.
The statement also noted that Bagudu told the traditional ruler that the delegation of APC stakeholders was led by Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari as head of the state APC campaign council.
Also speaking, Darkingari said the APC delegation was at the Dabai monarch’s palace to seek royal blessings and urge him and his subjects to support Dr. Nasir Idris and other APC candidates.
‘We are here in your palace to seek your support and that of your people for our candidate for the number one seat, the governor and all the candidates of APC from top to bottom.
Voting for APC , voting for Kauran Gwandu is voting for sustenance of peace in Kebbi State.
Please vote for our gubernatorial candidate, Kauran Gwandu, all our candidates, Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Shatima, all APC candidates in the 2023 elections’ he said.
Dakingari extolled the good qualities of Dr. Nasir Idris, submitting that he is capable and dedicated adding that as a labour leader , the APC guber candidate had garnered the needed experience to govern Kebbi State.
‘We all know Dr. Nasir Idris as a hardworking and a dedicated labour leader who keeps his word, he didn’t seek to become the governor, we prevailed on him to do so.
He is a man with over 35 years of work experience, he spent all his life struggling for workers and the masses as a unionist, so vote for him, vote for peace and development in Kebbi’ he added.
Responding, the Chief of Dabai Chiefdom, Alhaji Suleiman Sami expressed gratitude to the governor and the entire APC delegation for the visit assuring them of his support and that of his people in the 2023 elections.
‘This gathering is a reflection of what will happen in 2023, I have a personal obligation to render my support .
Loyalty begets loyalty, we are always loyal to those in authority so that we can get develop our town and our people’ he said.
The APC leaders held an interactive meeting with stakeholders in the town and the State APC Chairman, Muhammad Abubakar Kana solicited the support of the people for the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasir Idris and other APC candidates -Team@orientactualmags.com
