Qur’an Competition C’ttee Chair Hails Gov Abdulrazaq As Kwara Contingent Leaves For Zamfara
The Kwara state contingent to the 37th National Qur’an Recitation Competition in Gusau, Zamfara state left Ilorin for Gusau during the weekend.
In his farewell message before the contingent departed Ilorin, the chairman, Kwara State Committee on National Qur’an Recitation Competition, Alh. Shehu AbdulGafar praised the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his commitment to moral and religious education of Kwara youths.
AbdulGafar said the encouragement and the necessary supports the governor has continued to give the committee had made the participation of the Kwara state team in the annual event possible, adding that all the participants had to travel by air to Gusau for this year’s competition due to the challenges the country had faced while noting that they had also traveled by air last year.
He equally commended parents and guardians of the participants for giving their children sound Qur’anic education which had made them to excel in the state competition and gotten them qualified to represent the state.
He also thanked those in charge of the schools the participants attend for allowing them to participate in the competition; urging them to revise and review regularly and get well-prepared for the competition so as to win first positions in their categories.
