9  Arraigned For Attacking Atiku’s  Convoy In Borno

Borno state Commissioner of Police, Abdul Umar disclosed on Thursday that   nine  people , who were arrested in connection with the attack on the convoy of the PDP presidential candidate,  Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in Maiduguiri  a few days ago , have been taken to court.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned  the Borno state police chief also told   journalists that a total of 14 electoral violence offenders  have been arrested by the state police command.

  He noted that 12  among them are supporters of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) while the remaining two are  PDP supporters.

‘Even though there was  a rumour that somebody died, till today we have not seen the corpse’ he said.

Umar added that   enough measures had been taken by the police to curtail thuggery in the state while commending Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for giving  an express  order that anybody caught disrupting  political campaigns, no matter how highly placed, should be arrested and taken to court.
