Gov Bagudu Swears In Justice Umar Abubakar As Kebbi Acting Chief Judge
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has sworn in Justice Umar Abubakar as new Acting Chief Judge of Kebbi State following the retirement of Hon. Justice Suleiman Muhammad Ambursa from the bench.
Justice Abubakar was sworn in at the Council Chamber of the Government House, Birnin Kebbi on Saturday .
The governor , who congratulated the new Acting Chief Judge, Justice Umar Abubakar on his appointment, urged him to continue in the best tradition that the state Judiciary has been known to showcase over the years .
‘As provided for by our constitution, section 271 sub -section 4 and 5, today you are sworn in as the Acting Chief Judge of Kebbi State’ he said.
While commending judges in the state for their hard work and diligence, the Chairman of APC Progressives Governors’ Forum ,also reiterated that access to Justice in Kebbi was key and absolute important to ensure justice.
He further commended the Judiciary for its efforts with regard to administration of Justice which according to him had contributed to the peace the state had enjoyed.
‘ Kebbi State Judiciary is on the march to greatness’ he averred.
The Governor also thanked the outgoing Chief Judge, Justice Suleiman Muhammad Ambursa for his contribution to the State and especially the Judiciary.
He described Hon. Justice Suleiman Muhammad Ambursa as having a long fulfilled and an illustrious career in the Judiciary.
