Osun East PDP senate candidate, Senator Adenigba Francis Fadahunsi on Sunday condemned the defacement of his campaign posters at some locations in the Osun East senatorial district.
His media office in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Mr. Sam Segun-Progress had since pointed the finger at the Osun East APC senate candidate, former rep Ajibola Famurewa.
The statement also called on security agencies to ensure that those involved in such a destructive behavior get arrested and be made to face prosecution.
Fadahunsi recalled how Famurewa, who was also Osun East APC Senate candidate in 2019, had begun to attack residents that he considered as opposition members.
Alleging that many houses belonging to PDP members were set ablaze in Igangan, a village in Atakumosa local government, the senator has also called on the security agencies to ensure that Famurewa puts a stop to this.
‘We would have just ignored the miscreants around Famurewa seeking to get attention ,Famurewa is not a popular candidate hence his actions. An average APC member in Osun state will tell you that he is a major reason for Governor Oyetola’s election loss.
We want to warn Hon Famurewa to play the game according to the rules and not look for every available straw to hold on to. We wish him well in his quest to share from Asiwaju Tinubu’s largesse to their party ahead of the upcoming presidential election, but we will not tolerate the idea of sponsoring violence.
We therefore call on security agencies to call him to order so that the people won’t be forced to defend themselves against his usual attacks’ the statement concluded- Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
